Croxatto Oud (reservation)

The CROXATTO OUD batch 2 (2026) is exactly the same formula as batch 1 (2025), except for the Oud. Batch 2 replaces the Oud from Bangladesh, round and woody; with a deeper, more leathery and smoky Oud from Laos.

Both batches also include a similar variety of Indian Oud, which is why both have a strong Indian Style imprint. While batch nº1 is closer to versatile, batch nº2 is less so, it's more animalic.

Batch 2 is the perfume with the highest concentration of superior grade Oud I know of, it's one notch beyond the safe zone. Furthermore, it's infused with the scarce and striking essence of Croton Eluteria, from The Bahamas, of the highest quality, in an amount that probably multiplies by ten that of the perfume that contains the most of it in the entire market. It's a perfume not aligned with industry standards, it's independent.

The production of this formulation faces two not minor obstacles: the difficulty of obtaining the ingredients and their high cost. According to standard market practice, due to production cost alone, this perfume should be sold in a physical store for approximately triple its current price. However, by marketing it directly, I eliminate the distribution and store margins, which allows me to pass all those savings on to the final price.

Even so, the price is not exactly affordable. And because of the characteristics of the perfume itself, I can tell you it's also not aimed at the masses. What's more, if you're in doubt, or Oud has never particularly excited you, I seriously recommend you not to acquire it.

UNFILTERED

It's bottled unfiltered to preserve the aromatic richness of the Oud in all its natural complexity. This decision allows the perfume to keep evolving over time, developing unique nuances and an increasingly complex character.

The presence of natural Oud introduces a distinctive characteristic: the possible appearance of particles over time. These particles are natural sediments coming from the Oud itself, which contains resins, dense oils and organic compounds that, as they mature in the perfume's alcoholic base, may subtly precipitate. They may appear as fine clouds at the bottom of the bottle.

If the bottle has remained still for several days, it doesn't hurt to shake it gently before applying.

PRODUCTION LIMITS

The annual availability of Oud and Croton from the Bahamas, of the right quality and at a not insane price, is limited; additionally the maturation and maceration times the perfume requires add complexity to production. For this reason, and to keep quality controlled, we have decided to produce it in non-massive runs.

The number of bottles of batch nº1 was 750 units, in March 2025, sold in 48 hours.

The number of bottles of batch nº2 will be 975 units, with reservation available in June 2026.

WHEN WILL BATCH Nº2 BE RELEASED?

On June 9, 2026 the private reservation system is activated, for those who signed up for the pre-sale.

On June 22 the reservation system is activated for the general public.

It will be delivered worldwide, approximately in October 2026.

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH BATCH MY CROXATTO OUD IS FROM?

The batch of each perfume is laser-engraved on the bottle and printed on the box. The code includes the year of production. Batch nº1 had the code "2025A". Batch 2 will have the code "2 (2026)", indicating the batch number and the year.

THE SCENT

You will radiate a 100% Western-style scent, extraordinary. Luxurious, fresh, aged and flooded with the rarest spices and woods of the tropics. Where the Oud, as protagonist, imparts all its "vintage leather jacket" character. It evokes the unmistakable calm of Vito Corleone in a leather trench coat down 5th Avenue.

LONGEVITY, PROJECTION AND USE

An intensity that keeps radiating all day. It makes itself noticed, it doesn't stay longer than necessary.

The generous use of natural Oud, in particular, gives it an unshakable character and nobility.

I recommend using from 1 spray for a discreet impression, up to 7 sprays to go loaded with a total result.

HISTORY

After 4 years in the perfume production business and 2 years studying this multifaceted material that is Oud, I decided to execute a personal composition, which represents the way I want to use Oud in a perfume for men.

It has happened to me several times, when I mention to someone in this industry the ingredients, amounts and costs this formula has, they seem to look at me with pity: who could be so stupid as to insist on wasting these ingredients like this; when you can use all kinds of synthetic emulators at a fraction of the price. Or you can add all kinds of Oud reinforcements: ambrinols, civet, cypriols, etc. The CROXATTO OUD carries no Oud reinforcement nor emulator, what smells of Oud in this perfume, is pure solid Oud, without reinforcements, without substitutes.

I had to insist on the madness of using exactly what I believed was best for this perfume, because, for me and many connoisseurs, there is a difference. When you know low quality or synthetic Oud, you understand why it can't hold a candle to the superior grade one. Even if you have little experience, you see the radical difference.
