The CROXATTO OUD Batch No. 2 (2026) is a fresh, deep, leathery fragrance. Its animalic facet is deliberately more intense than in Batch No. 1.
It incorporates a substantial amount of Laotian Oud (absent from Batch No. 1) and a higher proportion of Indian Oud. The result: Batch No. 1 is woody and rounded; Batch No. 2 is animalic, smoky, and less accommodating.
Batch No. 2 is the fragrance with the highest concentration of superior-grade Oud that I know of. It deliberately goes beyond the comfort zone of conventional perfumery. It is also infused with the extremely rare essence of Croton eluteria from the Bahamas, of superior grade, in an exceptional quantity exceeding typical levels by more than tenfold. No brand formulating according to an industrial cost model would develop a fragrance like this. That is why it does not conform to industry standards. It follows a single criterion: to achieve the best olfactory result possible.
What smells like Oud in CROXATTO OUD is pure, solid, superior-grade natural Oud, with no boosters and no substitutes. This fragrance contains no synthetic ouds.
Producing this formula presents two significant obstacles: the difficulty of sourcing the ingredients and their high cost. Under standard industry practice, based on production cost alone, this fragrance would have to retail in a physical store for approximately three times its current price. By selling it directly, however, I eliminate distributor and retailer margins, allowing me to pass those savings on to the final price.
Even so, the price is certainly not inexpensive. And given the nature of the fragrance itself, I can also tell you that it is not intended for the masses. In fact, if you are unsure, or if Oud has never particularly appealed to you, I seriously recommend that you do not buy it.
UNFILTERED
It is bottled unfiltered to preserve the aromatic richness of the Oud in all its natural complexity. This decision allows the fragrance to continue macerating and evolving over time, developing unique nuances and an increasingly complex character.
The presence of natural Oud introduces a distinctive characteristic: particles may appear over time. These particles are natural sediments originating from the Oud itself, which contains resins, dense oils, and organic compounds that may subtly precipitate as they mature in the fragrance's alcohol base. They may appear as fine clouds at the bottom of the bottle.
If the bottle has remained still for several days, it may be worth gently moving it before applying.
INHERITED MACERATION
The composition of Batch No. 2 incorporates 10 liters from Batch No. 1, which had been macerating for a year and a half. Incorporating fragrance that has already undergone prolonged maceration gives the new batch a head start in maturation that it would otherwise achieve only with the passage of time.
PRODUCTION LIMITS
The annual availability of Oud and Bahamian Croton of the required quality and at a price that is not unreasonable is limited. In addition, the maturation and maceration times required by the fragrance add further complexity to production. For these reasons, and to maintain strict control over quality, we have decided to produce it in limited, non-mass-market batches.
Batch No. 1 consisted of 750 bottles, released in March 2025 and sold out within 48 hours.
Batch No. 2 consists of 962 bottles.
WHEN WILL BATCH NO. 2 BE DELIVERED?
Worldwide delivery is expected approximately in October 2026.
If you miss the opportunity to purchase Batch No. 2, you can sign up to be notified about the private reservation for Batch No. 3, which we will make available on this page at a later date.
HOW CAN I TELL WHICH BATCH MY CROXATTO OUD IS FROM?
The batch of each fragrance is laser-engraved on the bottle and printed on the box. The code includes the year of production. Batch No. 1 carried the code "2025A", engraved on the base underneath the bottle. Batch No. 2 carries the code "2-2026-A", engraved on the front of the bottle. Of the 962 bottles, 941 have the code laser-engraved and 21 have it printed in ink.
THE SCENT
You will radiate an extraordinary, unmistakably Western-style scent. Luxurious, fresh, aged, and saturated with some of the rarest spices and tropical woods. Oud takes center stage, imparting its full "vintage leather jacket" character. It evokes the unmistakable composure of Vito Corleone in a leather overcoat walking down Fifth Avenue.
OLFACTORY NOTES
TOP
Green Calabrian citrus - Oud
HEART
Bahamian Croton - Fermented tobacco - Wild Indian Oud
BASE
Laotian Oud - Blackcurrant distillate - Tropical woods, sea, sun and time.
LONGEVITY, PROJECTION & USE
An intensity that continues to radiate throughout the day. It makes its presence known, but does not linger longer than necessary.
The generous use of natural Oud, in particular, gives it an unwavering character and nobility.
I recommend anything from 1 spray for a discreet impression to 7 sprays when you want to wear it at full force.
THE BOTTLE

HISTORY
After four years in the fragrance production business and two years studying the multifaceted material that is Oud, I decided to create a deeply personal composition representing the way I want to use Oud in a men's fragrance.
It has happened to me several times: when I tell someone in this industry about the ingredients, quantities, and costs involved in this formula, they seem to look at me with pity. Who could be stupid enough to insist on wasting ingredients like these when all kinds of synthetic substitutes can be used at a fraction of the price? Or when Oud can be reinforced with all kinds of materials: ambrinols, civet, cypriol, and so on. CROXATTO OUD contains no Oud boosters or substitutes. What smells like Oud in this fragrance is pure, solid Oud, with no boosters and no substitutes.
I had to insist on the madness of using exactly what I believed was best for this fragrance because, to me and to many connoisseurs, there is a difference. Once you become familiar with low-quality or synthetic Oud, you understand why it cannot come close to superior-grade Oud. Even with relatively little experience, the difference is striking.
